This will be the IFS kit to attach an Element IFS to the V1W M2 Chassis. Every order will receive a free download of the print files for self production even if you order prints.
Aluminum Parts: Lower Plate, Upper Plate, Steering Rack Bar, Servo Mount
Printed Parts: Front Brace, Rack Spacer, Chassis Adapter, Upper Chassis Brace, Rear Chassis Brace, Belly Joiner Skid
Optional Parts: Wide Front Bumper (replaces front brace)
Hardware: 6 - M3 Lock Nut, 2 - 3x6mm, 10 - 3x8mm, 12 - 3x10mm, 4 - 3x16mm
You will need a longer Drag link to your servo: 70mm Eye to Eye
Notes from Instructions:
Servo Install: The servo should be installed on the non drive shaft side. The non servo side should use the 2 - 3x6mm Screws into the rear brace.
Drive Shaft / Rear Brace Note: Depending on the length of the drive shaft input or diameter of the drive shaft, you may not be able to run the rear brace on the Non servo Side. It is ok to cue the brace leaving only the servo side attached.
Lower Skid and Front Skid Brace: To fill the Gap between the transmission skid and the Lower Front Skid, use a Piece of Lexan fastened to the Trans Mount Screws and the front Skid or order the IFS Specific Skid Block out Panel (In Development).
Servo Tye Rod: You will need to make a new Servo Tye Rod to join the rack and the servo that is 70mm eye to eye
Toe In/Out: Adjust your tye rod for proper Tow. (About 1-2 Turns on each side). If you want to add more bump steer, you can add washers to your ball studs.
Steering Stop: The new Aluminum rack will bottom out on the lower plate to stop steering at max angle to save your universal joints from damage.
+/- 45 degrees if tow is at 0.
IMPORTANT: Do not use power drivers on 3D printed parts. Over tightening printed parts and cause premature cracking and crushing. Always ensure you hardware will not bottom out in the screw pocket. This can also cause at 3D printed part to break prematurely.
Printed Parts - These parts will be printed in Black (Unless otherwise requested) using advances slicing methods for maximum strength. All 3D printed parts come with a lifetime replacement guarantee. If you break a part, simply send us a photo and your order number. The photo is simply to evaluate for common issues and help identify potential improvements to existing designs.
